Party Marty and Edge both went fishing for a weekend with Captain Steve... Edge cleaned up! Where are Marty's fish? Turns out he left his stomach at Lake Michigan along with all his fish, and legs.

I caught a beautiful 34 inch King Samon on August 6^th, 2007.  My wife caught a large Coho and others on our trip landed some large Brown Trout and Lake Trout.  It was a great day of fishing fun and Captain Steve is one of the best.  The Salmon season is almost over as the fish begin their migration toward the shore by the end of the month.  If you would like more information about Lake Michigan sport fishing here is a useful site you might want to check out Click Here!

 

This is the second year in a row for my family to go fishing on Lake Michigan.  A charter experience is the way to go if you just enjoy the reeling in part of fishing.  The King Salmon can put up a real fight!  

There is a new Base Pro Shop located off the Portage Indiana exit of 80/94.  This is a must see if you are leaving port from Portage.  If you have any luck fishing you will want to pick up a bottle of the trout seasoning in the cooking section of the store.  They have a restaurant inside Bass Pro Shop also if you work up a hunger on the lake.  Charter trips will start up again in early spring so book early and happy fishing!
