I would brown them before putting them in the crockpot.

I have made pork and beef ribs in the crockpot. I cook them on high for about 2.5 hours. Pour off the fat. Add barbecue sauce and let them finish cooking until they are fork tender.

My preferred method is to brown the ribs and cook them in the oven. Put them in a large baking dish. Top the ribs with two sliced onions. Pour a can of beer over the top. Seal the baking pan with foil. Bake at 350 for about two hours. Pull out the pan and pour off the beer and fat. Put about 3 cups of barbecue sauce over the ribs and onions. Put them back into the oven uncovered for another hour or two until they are fork tender and the sauce has reduced and thickened. Delish!

You can finish these on the grill if you want to. We can’t wait that long to eat them.

This is the Quickest…Simpliest…E-Zist recipe for RIBS (as well as wings) I’ve found.

Matter of fact…gonna have riba tonight for supper.

    Cola Chicken

1 family size package chicken wings
    2 cup catsup
2 – 12oz. can cola (pepsi, coke, etc.)
2- packages McCormicks Buffalo wings seasoning

Put chicken in a non-stick pan.
Mix together catsup and cola, seasoning….pour over chicken.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat…cover with lid..and cook 45 minutes.
(turning chicken a few times, while cooking…to prevent from
    sticking to pan)
Cook until the sauce becomes thick and adheres to the chicken.

It turns into the most incredible BBQ sauce. Yummmm!

I used the spices from a MILD (I don’t care for "HOT") Buffalo
Wings packet…(the kind you get to bake in the oven)…..I thought it
was really good…..(but you/I can’t find a ‘bad’ way to fix chicken).

This recipe is doubled…..for my husband and myself…I use ½ the ingredients.

You can double…the double….and more as you like.

    BBQ Ribs

Use the same method (Cola Chicken)….leave out McCormicks seasoning.

    Ribs & Chicken wings both good…..and……‘s I m p l e’…..to fix…!!

how would i cook them in the crock pot?? i wouldnt.. ever try them on the grill? you’ll never cook them in the crock pot again. heres my way.

prep the ribs with your favorite rub. or just slather mustard on them.

throw them on the grill using the indirect cooking method. ofcoarse throw your wood chips or chunks on. i prefer oak or apple.

replace your charcoal about every hour.

after about 3 hours take them off the grill and throw them in the oven set at 250 deg. for another 3 hours.

not only will they fall off the bone but the bone will also be tender
