How do I bake with a typical microwave?

January 3rd, 2013

I dont have an oven, but I desperately need to bake these cookies for my friend’s bday tomorrow. Is it possible to bake cookies with a rtpical microwave?

I cant tell you how, but it can be done, When you have time to, go to a thrift store, where you can find lots of microwave cookbooks for a buck or two. These tell you the secrets of fine microwave cooking. They CAN do more that heat your coffee, You might also pick up a small toaster oven there cheaply. so you can bake more traditionaly.

I have really outfitted my kitchen well from the thrift stores. For a fraction of what the stuff cost new. I have crock pots, a nice convection oven, rotating pizza cookers, cast iron pans, enamel bakewear, all types of utensils, mixers, etc.
A lot of the stuff was new in the box, still.
occasionaly I find really nice expensive knives, cleavers, etc, too. Go have a look.

try cooking the cookies in the oven toaster….cook a few of the cookies at a time, so that you will be able to "understand " the heat inside the oven toaster and you will end up with perfect cookies.you can make it extra special by adding white or dark chocolate chips, chopped nuts or chopped dried fruits.
Try searching yeolesweets on the web.
They have a lot of cookie choices/variations for inspiration.
